We’d never visited Truth or Consequences (T or C to locals), New Mexico in the past, but it was on the way as we headed south from Albuquerque plus the town is adjacent to Elephant Butte Lake State Park where we camped… and, it had a Walmart SuperCenter. Every place we stop we find there’s always something new to learn and Pecos didn’t disappoint. Pecos is home to the world’s first rodeo, educated us about female WWII pilots (heretofore never heard of), and glorified Pecos Bill, a bigger-than-life folk hero.
